The Argentine Ambassador to Chile, José Octavio Bordón, met with Chain 3 on the crisis in the neighboring country and the social climate in Latin America, and the protest of "families who do not seek to overthrow the government, but peace and the solution to their problems" have diverged amid the violence.

Bordón made a synthesis of Chilean democratic history and recalled that the two governments of Michelle Bachelet and Sebastián Piñera "have both gone through a phase of recovery, of improved growth and of International integration intelligent and positive, to develop that have expressed themselves in the claims of social groups. "

According to the ambassador, these sectors require, on the one hand, the system of care, the difficulties in health, the limits of education or the transportation system.

What happens is that at a given moment, in a public space and in popular protest, this most critical sector has been expressed and in this context have appeared the already active, violent and active minorities, which do not seek to change or improve things, but create chaos and in an effervescent situation has created disruption and destruction of public services, which are the most needy of the middle class and vulnerable sectors.

The ambassador said that "it is a mistake" to criminalize the "democratic and peaceful demonstration" of these people (the violent sectors), and that "deny the state the" obligation to maintain order "is a mistake.

In this regard, he said: "At the center are President Piñera's speech of last night and the attitude of the opposition parties, Christian Democracy and Socialism to engage in a dialogue. to solve the short term ".

"Chile is a predictable paradox," he added, adding: "The middle class sectors are children of people less likely than they are but now perceive that they are far away what others have and do not know what's going on. " with their children and this generates a positive situation and continues to grow in a democracy that works well.

However, he said that "this upward social mobility" although "has generated this positive fact", he also meets "people who remain excluded, who left it aside and at the moment of chaos are those who profit and are part of looting that takes things to eat or appropriate items for the future ".

"They are not people coming out because they are flying, but an explosion in the midst of chaos," he warned.

The ambassador did not rule out that these violent groups "have links and seek the fall of democracy".

"I do not believe that in the peaceful demonstrations in the region, a decadent regime devoid of political power is a considerable task for the democratic regimes in the region, such as the Venezuelan regime, which is only failing, authorizing and poverty, "he analyzed.

But he said: "I would not be surprised if, just as people who are hungry for their country, have caused the departure of 4 million people, and who permanently repress civil rights and paramilitary groups that act, it would not surprise me to fund and maintain these groups. "

Finally, Bordón said: "We must separate the possibility that these people are looking for these groups, with the belief that the inhabitants of the desperate sectors average or poor of Chile are manipulated by a poisoned task of Venezuela".

"The misfortune is that a leader of the regional left, who has no democratic vocation, sometimes equates the problem or excess that a repression may have in the region with a regime. dictatorial like that of Venezuela, "he concluded.
