Boy killed thief to defend his grandmother – News

A 12-year-old boy shot dead two burglars who broke into the home of 73-year-old Linda Ellis overnight.

According to local authorities, the miner defended his grandmother after criminals demanded money and shot her in one of her legs.

After the fact, the police received a call from a neighbor of the area warning of gunfire near 402 S. William Street. When they arrived at the scene, officers found Ellis shot and a dead man a few feet from the house.

“They entered the house, I opened the door and they came in… One of them had a gun. They threw me to the ground (…) I don’t know why they shot Linda, ”said Randolph Bunn, the young man’s great-uncle who was also in the Bunn house, defended the boy, saying that ‘ he was in self-defense and that the criminals could have killed the whole family.

Goldsboro Police said an investigation is underway to clarify what happened, although no charges are expected against the 12-year-old boy.
