Brazil has produced 100,000 doses of Russian vaccine for export to Latin America

As part of the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic from new strains, Brazilian pharmaceutical company Unión Química produced first batch of Russian vaccine Sputnik V with Russian technology and materials, as reported Thursday by the Russian Direct Investment Fund. To produce the first batch of the Sputnik V vaccine on Brazilian soil, the Moscow Gamaleya Institute, who developed the vaccine, transferred to the pharmaceutical company Unión Química both the technology and everything necessary for the local production of the vaccine, such as biomaterials and documentation. This was added to the visit to vaccine production plants in Russia by the president of the company.

This first batch of vaccine was produced at the Guarulhos plant, on the outskirts of the town of San Pablo. The first batch of 100,000 doses of the plant has been packaged in boxes labeled in Spanish, although the countries that will receive them have not yet been announced.
