Brazil places third booster dose against Covid – News

Brazil has started placing a third dose against Covid-19 as a backup, although a large number of residents are registered who are still waiting to receive the second inoculation.

Rio de Janeiro, for example, has already started administering the third dose, being the epicenter of the latest wave of infections in the country. While in Salvador and Sao Luis, it was held on Monday. Sao Paulo, for its part, will push it forward on September 6. The rest of Brazil will follow in their footsteps next week.

About nine in ten Brazilians have already been vaccinated or plan to do so, pollster Datafolha reported. Most of those interviewed received the first dose but not the second.
