The Brazilian government on Tuesday formalized the ban on Venezuelan Chavez Administration officials from entering its territory.

This is the first time that Brazil unilaterally adopts sanctions against another country, the paper said.

The measure had been anticipated by the Chancellor Ernesto Araújo on the 6th of this month, at the International Conference for Democracy in Venezuela which was held in Lima, Peru.
