Brazil sets new daily record for coronavirus: 3,650 deaths in one day

Brazil has recorded a new record of deaths from covid-19 in the past 24 hours, a total of 3,650, the health ministry reported on Friday.

That figure exceeds the threshold of 3,251 dead on Wednesday, which was the previous record for a 24-hour period.

According to these official data, the coronavirus pandemic, which arrived in Brazil a year ago, caused in this country a total of 307,112 people died.

In addition, this Friday they reported 84,245 newly infected with this disease, which makes a total of 12,404,414 people infected with the new coronavirus.

The South American giant is currently the place on the planet where most people die from covid-19 every day, well above the average for the United States (1,024) and Mexico (560), which appear just behind, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
