In this way, the adopted decision will remain in force until the Congress approves a specific law, this exposes the project in more detail. Yet, it's a big step in a country run by Jair Bolsonaro, who declared himself "proud homophobic".

The meeting was centered on eleven judges – eight of whom were in favor – who exposed the daily suffering of members of the homobadual group. One of them was Carmen Lucia Antunes, who delivered a powerful speech.

"All prejudice is violence, all discrimination is violence, all discrimination is a form of suffering (…) all human beings are born free and equal and must be treated with the same spirit of fraternity "he opined.

The Brazilian Socialist Party was responsible for bringing the bill to justice, which denounced an "omission of Parliament" on the subjectwhich had been requested in the past by several organizations.
