The Brazilian government on Wednesday announced the privatization of nine public companies, including the post office, which is the largest logistics company in Latin America, and the port of Santos, the largest in the country.

In addition to the privatization of these eight companies, the government plans to sell the shares it holds in the Bank of Brazil and which exceed the minimum necessary to maintain control.
These privatizations are part of a wider program of "destabilizing" 17 companies, said Lorenzoni.
On the other hand, the official announced that the administration of several prisons and national parks of Lencois Maranhenses and Jericoacoara would be entrusted to the private sector.
