David Sidoo, a Canadian businessman who is developing a lithium extraction project in Jujuy, was arrested this week in the United States, accused of bribing the university authorities to admit two of his children.

Sidoo is the owner of Lithium Advantage, a Canadian company that maintains investments in lithium deposits in Jujuy. Advantage Lithium owns Salars of South America, the company that is developing a lithium extraction project in the sector of Cauchariin Jujuy.

The extraction of lithium in Jujuy is a project that has favored Mauricio Macri since the beginning of his mandate with the radical governor Gerardo Morales, who met Sidoo last October in San Salvador de Jujuy.
