Latin America and the Caribbean will account for 25% of world exports of agricultural and fisheries products by 2028, but growth in trade and production will slow due to a possible decline in international demand and interior.

To emphasize, an increase in domestic demand for animal protein is expected. Per capita consumption of beef and pork is expected to increase by about 10% over the next decade, as well as by 12% fish and 15% birds.
By 2028, poultry consumption will be 34.2 kg per capita per year and will account for 42.1% of total meat consumption. Milk production will increase by 1.4% per year.
As for biodiesel, vegetable oil consumption in the industry is expected to reach 3.2 million tons by 2028, accounting for 75% of domestic vegetable oil consumption.
