Chile hits another record for daily coronavirus cases

Chile reached the most alarming number of infections in a 14-month pandemic on Friday. 8,112 new cases of coronavirus, amid an increase in restrictions ordered by the authorities.

On this Easter weekend, long queues were seen on the routes despite the sanitary cords at the main exit points of the capital, and at a time when the border closure was announced.
