Chile: killed his partner and transported the body in a wheelbarrow

After investigation and based on the description of the witnesses, the officers of the Investigation Police (PDI) they detained Juan Luis Rojas Faundez, 20 years old, accused of the murder of his partner, Jonathan Quiroz Jerez, of the same age as his alleged attacker.

The event was reported when witnesses noticed that a young man was carrying the body on the public highway.

Then, discovered by a neighbor and acquainted with the victim, he took off his shoes and gloves to flee the scene.

Riflemen arrived at the scene and checked that the deceased, who was covered with a blanket, had multiple sharps injuries to the neck and chest.

Police carried out various tests, including examining security cameras in the area, succeeding in establishing the identity of the alleged perpetrator who was subsequently arrested.

Based on what was reported by the Talca Public Prosecutor’s Office, the subject will go to a hearing to control the detention and the formalization of the charges.

The deceased young man was in a wheelbarrow, and next to the body were a pair of shoes and gloves that the perpetrator had left behind at the time of the escape.

Thanks to witness statements, it was possible to trace the assailant who was identified as the partner of the deceased and was immediately arrested in an action which, according to the terms of the Deputy Prefect Marcelo Pérez, head of the Talca homicide squad, it took place on the public highway and without major inconveniences.

“Thanks to various procedures ordered by the Prosecutor’s Office to the PDI Homicide Squad, it was possible to arrest the subject who had murdered this man in the northern sector of Talca, leaving him abandoned on the public road on a wheelbarrow. It would be the victim’s partner “, said the commissioner Perez.
