Maximiliano Conca, who suffered a heart attack a week ago in Chile, has left today the Centro de Salud hospital in Tucumán, where he was hospitalized after being transferred to the province because he felt "overwhelmed by the media". In addition, Conca proposed to carry out "ad honorem works to cover expenses" that the government of Tucumán was confronted with.

A few hours after arriving from Chile in a health plane rented by the provincial government, Conca decided to leave alone, without medical discharge, as confirmed by the province's health ministry.

The ministry officials explained that they could not force him to remain hospitalized because "he is a major and lucid person".

The patient is currently at the private cardiology center and today issued a letter in which he thanks Governor Juan Manzur and the health zone officials who organized his transfer from Chile in a private medical plane.

"I am an ordinary and discreet citizen, I had never known the magnitude of this situation until I arrived in my beloved province," Conca explained.

He also pointed out that "on behalf of the staff of the hospital's health center" I had a lot of work "but admitted that" I was overwhelmed by the media and the photos which have been published without my permission ".

In his letter, Conca asked the executive authorities "to allow me to do honorary work to cover the expenses (up to the last cent) of my transfer to the province".

The 40-year-old architect was on vacation in Viña del Mar, Chile after a heart attack. After spending a week in a private clinic, he managed to get him back to Tucumán, from his provincial health ministry.

His family members sought official help because they could not afford the cost of his transfer or continue to pay for his hospitalization in Chile because of the high cost of medical care in that country, since he did not take out travel insurance before going on vacation.
