The couple’s daughter was in the same room as her parents at the time of the attack, but managed to hide in her brother’s bedroom, who was also unharmed.
Haitian authorities reported on Wednesday that Moses’ two sons were in a safe place, but their condition had not been clarified.
The justice of the peace also assured that Moise’s office and bedroom were “ransacked” by the attackers, who broke into the residence of the heavily armed president in the early hours of Wednesday.

Haitian police have confirmed that four “mercenaries” were killed and two other detainees after the assassination of President Jovenel Moise.
