Tomorrow will begin the G20 summit that will bring together key world leaders, including Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Since today, reductions and some restrictions on transportation services are starting to intensify.
The summit will be held on 30 November and 1 December at the Costa Salguero site, where a reinforced security operation will have been put in place. In the vicinity, three safety rings will be deployed from 15 and will be accessible only with official vehicles. The Gala Dinner will take place tomorrow at Teatro Colón. For this reason, Avenida 9 de Julio will be closed to traffic all day, until Saturday at 8 pm.
Mobility, transport and public services in different parts of the city will be affected from today to Sunday, December 2.
As indicated by the Secretariat of Maritime Transport, the road between the river and the streets Del Libertador and Figueroa Alcorta, linking San Martin to Udaondo, will be closed to traffic starting today at 15 hours. The pbadage in downtown Buenos Aires will be cut from 21 to Saturday at 22 hours. Saturday between 6am and 3pm will also close traffic around Malba. In addition, there will be courts in Recoleta, Microcentro, Retiro, Puerto Madero, Palermo Chico and Bajo Porteño. The Illia, Cantilo and Lugones motorways will be closed from today, from 3 pm to 11 pm, on Sundays, starting at 2 pm Corrientes Avenue, between July 9 and Madero, will be closed from 8 pm; Diagonal Norte between 9 July and Bolívar, and Madero-Huergo between Belgrano and Viamonte.
Regarding the transport services, the service will be reduced from 15 hours on the metro lines B and H. Tomorrow and Saturday, no metro and Premetro service will work. Trains will not run from tomorrow to Saturday either; includes all the lines: Sarmiento, Roca (all its branches), Miter (all its branches), Belgrano Norte, Belgrano Sur, Urquiza and San Martín; and the closing of the headings Retiro, Constitución, Sáenz, Chacarita and Once. The Retiro bus terminal will be closed as of today at 3 pm. Departures and arrivals will be transferred to the Dellepiane terminal in Barracas.
All urban collectives will operate, but their routes will be altered by the security operation set up between Independencia, Entre Rios, Callao, Las Heras, Sarmiento, Figueroa Alcorta and La Pampa streets. The Metrobús Del Bajo will be cut from today from 15:00 to 22:00 on Saturdays. The 9th of July Metrobús will be cut by 21. The Metrobús 25 de Mayo from 5 to 00 Friday.
Jorge Newbery Airport and El Palomar Airport will be closed from 20:00 to 22:00 on Saturdays. The Airport Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) will remain open even though it may have some effects. At the aerodromes of San Fernando and Morón, there will be no operations between 3 pm today and 10 pm on Saturday. The port of Buenos Aires and the Buquebús terminal will also remain closed.
