Colombian President calls for Venezuela to be declared “promoter of terrorism” for sheltering Farc dissidents

The President of Colombia Ivan Duque He asked United States, this Monday, July 26, during the installation of the Third International Seminar for the Analysis and Prevention of Urban Terrorism, which Venezuela enters list of countries that promote terrorism, by accommodating several members of the Residual Structure of Organized Armed Groups 33 (GAOr-E33), dissidents of the ex Farc.

Among the guerrillas of the neighboring country, the head of state mentioned alias “Iván Márquez”, alias “Romaña”, alias “El Paisa”, Antonio García and alias Pablito‘, which is part of the central command of the National Liberation Army (ELN). As a result, he stated that the government of the President of the United States, Joe biden, must be pronounced: “Obviously, this consent of the dictatorial regime of Venezuela deserves a declaration by the United States also as a country that promotes terrorism.”.

A video was recently released, accompanied by an official statement, in which the Middle Madeleine block FARC dissidents have accepted their responsibility, both in the attack on President Duque and part of his cabinet, while they were traveling by helicopter to Cúcuta on June 25, as in that of the car bomb that exploded in the facilities of the Grupo Maza battalion, brigade 30 of the army, in the capital of Norte de Santander on the 15th of the same month.

Along with this announcement, in which the harassment was also attributed to the military bases of the department, this criminal group sent a warning to the Colombian president: “And our actions do not end there, We tell the president you’re part of the war and although there is no guarantee for the vast majority, our guns will not be silenced ”.

Faced with such statements, Duque said the government would not be intimidated by the intimidation of organizations outside the law, and that on the contrary, it will continue in its objective to completely disintegrate them: “We are not afraid of any of these threats, nor intimidate us, nor reduce us, nor diminish us. Make it clear for this GAO-r 33 that we are going to dismantle it completelyWe will bend it and the Colombian nation will stand firm against any form of terrorism. Colombia does not kneel before any threat ”.

In addition, he made it clear that it is vital that it can be revealed what is the “complicit and pernicious” relationship between the Venezuelan government with the dissidents of the FARC and the members of the ELN. Thus, he affirmed that the objective will be that the terrorists are handed over to the authorities of the countries which seek them.

“I want to clarify that all his plans have been identified and revealed thanks to the work of our intelligence, that of our police, the army, the DNI, the collaboration with the intelligence of the air force and the collaboration of international organizations and intelligence agencies of other countries ”Said Duque during his speech.

Finally, he asked that Alex saab, the alleged leader of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, be extradited to the United States, and warned that aka ‘Otoniel’, leader of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, “will fall very soon”.

In recent days, Colombian authorities have announced that six people have been captured, including the retired army captain, Andrés Medina Rodríguez, alias ‘El Capi’, for his alleged participation in the attack on Duque, as reported by Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.

Minister of Defense Diego Molano, reported last Saturday that he was aware of another Duque assassination plan, in which ‘El Capi’ was also allegedly involved, who would be part of the ‘Block 33’ of FARC dissidents. Meanwhile, the official announced that it was possible to obtain information indicating that the attack on the Colombian president was organized from Venezuela.
