The so-called law of urbanization of the villas received 194 votes in favor (the left was absent and previously expressed his rejection of the initiative). The norm establishes a "regime of socio-urban integration and Sunday regularization," according to the bill introduced by the Ministry of Social Development in the Lower House with the contribution of social movements.

If it is finally approved in the Senate (something that is expected to happen), will declare "public utility" land where 4,228 precarious urban settlements are located. In addition, they will be subject to expropriation to be issued to their inhabitants with housing certificates.

According to the project, the purpose of expropriation will be the State Property Administration Agency, which, in connection with the national portfolio must enter into agreements with the provinces, municipalities and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, with the aim of transferring real estate.
