Nuria Plebani has the best average of her school, standard bearer, her hobby is reading and has just been selected to participate in the 11th Latin American Olympiad of Astronomy and Astronautics, to be held in Mexico City next October.
At the age of 17, Nuria has a well-known average of 9.66 in five years of high school at the Private Institute of the Sacred Heart of Oliva City, in the department of Tercero Arriba.
It is the only Cordoba chosen for this international event, which is among the best exams of the competition organized last year at the national level, organized by the Astronomical Observatory of Córdoba and the national universities of San Juan and La Plata.
Monica Oddone and Martín Leiva, astronomers from the Cordoba Observatory, are the coordinators who will accompany the Argentine delegation. Besides Nuria, two students from the National School of Buenos Aires and one from the Polytechnic Institute of Santa Fe are added.
Pride of Cordoba
"It's a very important experience, very strong for me, and I'm delighted to be able to participate in the Latin American contest thanks to my performance," Nuria told La Voz. The teenager lives in a rural area, 40 kilometers from Oliva. For this reason, her parents pick her up and pick her up every day at school.
"Even though it's raining at sea, my parents still do it and they support me constantly," he said.
In rainy weather, rural roads in this area become almost impbadable. But Nuria has almost no flaws, despite these 40 kilometers.
The teenager said that she had studied for the national competition of this competition with a borrowed book, about three hours a day, for a month. Now he will repeat this preparation and also know about the Cordoba Observatory.
Raquel Perasolo, Oliva's teacher who accompanied her in this preparation, stated that Nuria's profile was "unusual", emphasizing that she "likes to study, know, know and is pbadionate about the universe ".
