Fernando “Ferchy” Kushner, activist and animal advocate, died this week in Bolivia after contracting the coronavirus. The man has spent the past two weeks in intensive care.

“We regret the death of animal rights activist ‘Ferchy’ Kushner, a man who did everything to ensure that animals (and dogs in particular) have a life of dignity. Kushner was known as the “angel” of stray dogs, since it made it possible to obtain food, sterilizations, vaccinations and adoptions. He also conducted discussions and campaigns to obtain coats. According to EFEHe also worked on the construction of a “sanctuary” where he could accommodate dogs, especially older ones.

Recall that the man was a sales engineer, even if he decided in 2015 to put this life aside to devote himself to activism. Until this year, he had helped over 2,000 animals.
