Coronavirus in Mexico on July 19: In the last 24 hours there have been 5,307 infections and 138 deaths

The Health Secretary (In) has released the most important data on the coronavirus outbreak in Mexico. Through a daily technical statement, he indicated that this Monday, July 19, 138 deaths and 5,307 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country.

With these numbers accumulate 2,664,444 infections and 236,469 deaths caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus on a national level. In addition to this, 449,298 suspected cases have been reported, 4,847,197 negative, 79,445 estimated assets and 7,960,939 people studied since the start of the health contingency.

Based on the demographics of the outbreak, confirmed cases show predominance among men, with 50.1%. Meanwhile, the overall median age is 42.

By place of residence, Mexico City (733,303), State of Mexico (272,431), Guanajuato (135,133), Nuevo León (133,131), Jalisco (94,688), Puebla (88,108), Sonora (83,995), Tabasco (82,378) , Veracruz (72 134) and Querétaro (71 523) These are the states that concentrate the greatest number of accumulated infections, with 66% of the total.

For people who have exhibited symptoms of coronavirus in the past 14 days, Mexico City also ranks first, with 26,889 active casesIt is followed by the State of Mexico, with 7,032; Sinaloa, with 3,602; Jalisco, with 3,540; Nuevo León, with 3,515; Veracruz, with 3,235; Quintana Roo, with 2828; Tabasco, with 2,345; and Baja California Sur, with 2,089.

On the other hand, it is estimated that there are 2,853,806 infections of the disease in Mexico. In addition, there are over thousands of suspicious deaths (12,274) which could be added to the total in the coming hours. They also counted 2,095,953 patients restored.

Concerning the distribution by sex and age of deaths caused by COVID-19, a 62% predominantly male. The average age of death from the coronavirus is 64.
