The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, had confirmed this Thursday afternoon in a television interview that the administrative decision will be known this Friday, something which was finally confirmed by the Presidency of the Nation.
The decree will be published this Friday and will take effect from Saturday and, among other things, suspends flights from Brazil, Chile and Mexico. It will be recalled that the borders are closed to tourism. Anyone who is not Argentinian and wishes to enter the country for this purpose will not be able to do so.
These are the 4 measures that have been formalized by decree:
1- Flights from Brazil, Chile and Mexico will be kept to a minimum, where the Manaus strain, one of the most contagious and which concerns the Ministry of Health the most, is circulating at full speed. In addition, flights from the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia and Denmark, countries where one of the new strains has been detected, will continue to be banned.

Those returning from abroad are obliged to self-isolate for 10 days, starting from the first test carried out in the country of origin. It will be checked that those who have returned from a trip fill the isolation in their homes.
In the event of non-compliance with solitary confinement, the authorities must lodge a criminal complaint in accordance with art. 205 and 239 of the Penal Code (for violation of measures against epidemics and disobedience to public authority)
Likewise, the traveler must declare the places where he was during the last 14 days before his return to the country.
4- A fourth measure will aim to strengthen border control. For this, federal forces will be used to support those who are already in each border control. It is not yet defined, but the armed forces could provide logistical support because, under the Internal Security Law, they cannot send military personnel to control crossings between countries.
It is recommended to all Argentines and residents not to travel abroad, in particular those who are in groups at risk, in order to avoid the difficulties and the sanitary conditions required at the start of the school year, taking into account the evolution rapid epidemiological conditions.
Regarding the marketing of graduate study trips, tourism agencies must submit protocols to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and certification of the destination’s testing laboratory.
