The Supreme Court of Justice has banned opposition leader Juan Guaidó from leaving Venezuela and his bank accounts have been frozen. The decision was taken a week after the president of the General Assembly proclaimed himself president in charge of the country.
According to Maikel Moreno, president of the Supreme Court of Venezuela, Guaidó "will not be able to leave the country before the end of the investigation on him", referring to the complaint filed by the state prosecutor of this country.
Neither can he "badign and encumber the ownership of his property" and order the "blocking and detention" of his bank accounts in accordance with the same instrument adopted by the agency.
The public prosecutor attributed to the leader of the opposition to the government of Nicolás Maduro the responsibility of "violent" events and the consequences of the acts that led the countries of the world to freeze the badets of the Venezuelan State.
