They removed CNN International and the BBC from the air

In the midst of escalating tension due to clashes in different parts of Venezuela, the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) has ordered the release of CNN Internacional from the subscription television, as well as the BBC signal, the public radio signal and television in the UK.

The IPYS Venezuela, defined as an "organization composed of journalists with three axes of action: investigative journalism, freedom of the press and access to information" , said that CONATEL had also suspended CNN and BBC broadcasts in Venezuela.

On the other hand, the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional, which quotes Netblocks, an organization dedicated to monitoring the network, said that there had been problems of Internet access throughout the Venezuelan territory .
