Curbing income and per diem, key decree to reduce the state

It was scheduled for Monday night, but it finally materialized in the early hours of Tuesday when the official newspaper was published. Decree 632/2018, published yesterday, has the main objective of achieving a reduction of 25,000 million dollars, as part of the public adjustment plan facing Cambiemos, which aims to reduce expenses by 30%.

The norm, which led to the signing of President Mauricio Macri, Chief of Staff Marcos Peña and Ministers Andrés Ibarra (Modernization) and Nicolás Dujovne (Treasury and Finance), freezes the revenues of the factory of 39. Status until 31 December 2019, prohibits the implementation of technical badistance agreements, as well as bonuses or rewards, and a reduction in mobility and per diem expenses, among other measures.

– The most salient, perhaps, is that they are disabled until 31 December 2019 appointments and hiring of staff of any kind or source of budgetary or non-budgetary funding.
