Daniel López to be Superintendent of Health Services – News

The national government designated this Saturday as Superintendent of Health Services to Daniel López, who will replace the late Eugenio Zanarini.

The decision was published this Saturday in the Official Journal under Decree 307/2021, signed by President Alberto Fernández, Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero and Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti.

“Appointment to the post of Superintendent of the Superintendence of Health Services, a decentralized body acting in the orbit of the Ministry of Health, to Dr Daniel Alejandro LÓPEZ (DNI n ° 14 043 473), with rank and hierarchy of secretary” on published text.

Daniel López, close to the former Minister of Health Ginés González García, will be responsible for monitoring the work carried out by social works and managing public funds in this sector.

He will succeed in replacing Eugenio Zanarini, found dead on May 4 at his home in the Caballito district of Buenos Aires, probably due to long-standing heart failure.

Zanarini’s body was found in his house in Rojas at 507 by his driver, who entered the property after making insistent calls to him to no avail.

The former Superintendent of Health of the Nation had suffered three heart attacks in recent times, following “coronary complications”, according to the police report which also confirmed that soon after, the son-in-law of the official arrived at his home. .

Zanarini, who had been in charge of the superintendence of health services since January 2020, was a man of extreme confidence to Ginés González García and the current Minister of Health, Carla Vizzoti.

The official was among the 70 people who received Sputnik V as part of the controversial “VIP vaccination”, although in his case they were healthcare workers with a history of heart disease.
