"Diosito" in trouble: Nicolás Furtado wanted to enter the country with drugs and was detected by customs

Nicolás Furtado, protagonist of the hit series "The Marginal", was involved in a scandal after being detected by the customs when he tried to bring drugs into the country. As revealed by the program Confrontados, the actor of Uruguayan origin would have tried to enter Argentina with more than 30 grams of marijuana, a substance legalized in his country.

As explained in Rodrigo Lussich's program, this would have happened when the actor returned to Buenos Aires to begin recording the third season of Underground Strip after vacationing in his homeland.

He went to the Buquebus transport company and, through customs, the police discovered in Nicolás Furtado's backpack two plastic bags containing a substance that was apparently marijuana. One weighed 18.51 grams and the other 14.15 grams.
As if that were not enough, the customs authorities failed to further inform the other "bags". Thus, in the face of these suspicions, a judge could request registrations and cite the customs officers who carried out this procedure.

In the minutes prepared by the screening officers, it is stated that the car belongs to Nicolás Furtado, a native of Montevideo, and that this intervention was entrusted to the Economic Criminal Court No. 8, in charge of Judge Gustavo Meirovich.

Although the purchase of marijuana is legal in Uruguay, sellers and buyers are required to register in an official register. Since the case was made public recently, it is unclear whether Nicolás Furtado is registered, but it is known that there is an important parallel market for this substance.
