Pilots from at least two flights reported that the automatic MCAS system seems to cause the Boeing to suddenly tilt the nose down, The same problem that would have contributed to the recent fatal accident in Indonesia that could also have failed in Ethiopia. The pilots said that shortly after turning on the automatic badistance device of the aircraft Boeing 737 Max 8, the nose inclined sharply downwards. In both cases, pilots quickly regained their stability after disconnecting the system.
The Max 8 is the same plane that has been immobilized in more than 40 countries after two fatalities in less than five months. In the United States, however, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the airlines continued to authorize the operation of the aircraft.
