French millionaire pledges 100 million euros to rebuild Notre-Dame
Leading French companies, as well as individuals, have mobilized to announce multi-million dollar donations for the restoration of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, burned in recent hours.
The French president himself, Emmanuel Macron, announced during his stint on television yesterday in front of the burned temple that a national collection would be organized overseas to raise funds for the restoration works.
The powerful businessman Bernard Arnault, the biggest fortune of France since the fashion conglomerate LVMH, owner of the Louis Vuitton brand, announced a donation of 200 million euros.
In the same vein, another French businessman, François Henri Pinault, who will contribute 100 million euros to his company Artemis.
