Donut Day: why is it celebrated this Friday, June 4

The first Friday in June is celebrated World donut day. The celebration that originated in the United States has spread around the world. Its origin occurs when a group of women, army volunteers The Salvation Army, decided to give donuts to the soldiers during the First World War.
