The 38-year-old tied the metal device around the base of his genitals in a bizarre sex act, but he lost the key and his penis began to swell. Desperate, the subject tried but could not remove the small lock, so he left it on his penis for over 14 days until he became infected, and the pain was so excruciating he was rushed to the hospital in the city of Bangkok.

The man’s embarrassed mother, who tried to help, told doctors her son “He likes to stick his penis through small holes.” She told emergency services they arrived at the man’s home on a Thursday evening that his son did not have a girlfriend and was “bored” because he had stayed at home during the pandemic of Covid19.

“My son is a reserved person and does not have a girlfriend. He stayed at home a lot during the pandemic because he is afraid to go out. He told me he did this because he was bored and he likes to put his thing ‘in small holes. I was angry with him for embarrassing me like that and I told him not to do it again “, asserted the woman.

Emergency call

The rescue officer Thongchai Donson told media who received the emergency call that the injury was “Worse than they expected” and they had to take the man, whom they did not name, to the nearest hospital.

“We received the emergency call and did not know all the details, so we were surprised when we arrived. It was worse than we thought. If the lock had been in place longer, the infection could have been so severe that his penis would have started to rot and have gangrene ”, said Thongchai.

Doctors spent more than 30 minutes using an electric cutter to cut the metal lock. They slipped a thin sheet of metal between the bar and the man’s skin to keep it from being cut and sprayed water on his body to lubricate it.

“In the hospital I was in pain and I cried so loud because I was so swollen. Removing the metal was very difficult ”, the relief officer pointed out. Once she was released, they administered antibiotic cream and gave the man penicillin tablets.

Permanent damage to the penis?

Even though his penis is now released, doctors said that there could be lasting damage due to the length of time the padlock has been blocked, disfigured by the ordeal.

“We can’t give the man’s name, but we want to make the information public to prevent other people from doing that sort of thing. It can be very dangerous and damage the body ”, reiterated.
