There were 5,180,300 overnight stays of non-resident tourists, which represents a 35.1% increase over December 2017.

As for emissive tourism, Resident tourists left mainly for: Brazil, 23.7%; "United States and Canada", 21.4%; and from Europe,
18.6%.

The average stay of resident tourists was 19.1 nights. The longest average stay was in Europe with 38.4 nights, followed by "United States and Canada" with 17.6 nights and the block "Rest of America" ​​with 15.4 nights. Overnights totaled 4,200.9 thousand, 1.7% more than the same period of the previous year.

Uruguay, with fewer Argentineans

Uruguay's Minister of Tourism, Liliam Kechichian, announced that in January the country had received 432,000 visitors, 29% less than the same month in 2018, and stressed that "this year nearly 200,000 Argentines came less"
