Before the commemoration of the Holy Week, a time which is celebrated every year and which is about to begin in the country, various states of the Republic have announced that with the beaches that will not serve walkers during this period, due to the COVID-19 pandemic , which has left more than two million infections in the country.
One of the entities that will not allow access to these tourist areas is Chiapas, He does not want to “lower his guard” in the face of the progress he has maintained for several weeks on the number of infections, since he is currently at a green light.
According to a statement, the entry of walkers on the beaches will be prohibited from March 18 to April 18.
Yucatan
Amid the strong impact of the coronavirus pandemic that continues to plague Mexico, authorities in the state of Yucatán, an entity that remains on to this day at the amber light, have announced that it will maintain the closure of its beaches in Progreso during the holiday period of Holy Week.
The state government reiterated that access to beaches or coastal areas will not be allowed until next Sunday, April 11.
BCS
Baja California Sur has also announced in recent days that some measures will be taken, the mayor of La Paz, Rubén Muñoz Alvares, announced that at Easter the beaches of the municipality will be kept closed to avoid the crowds.
Nayarit
This small state located in the west of the country will allow tourists to access its beaches, but with certain security measures and the closure will be at 6:00 p.m.
Their capacity will be 50% in all seaside destinations and they will start operating at 5:00 a.m.
Tamaulipas
In this entity, the entry of tourists will be allowed under strict security measures and with reservations on the beaches.
According to the entity’s Tourism Department, health protocols will be put in place, which will allow the safe reactivation of tourist destinations.
Quintana roo
Sectur welcomes walkers in the state, who will also open tourist areas according to established health measures.

Acapulco Guerrero
After dozens of visitors were reported to the port of Acapulco in December and the number of infections increased during that time, the entity’s authorities will step up measures in some areas.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, there will be greater surveillance on the beaches of Guerrero and they will operate at 50% of their capacity.
Easter will take place this 2021 from Sunday March 28 to Saturday April 3. It should be remembered that during this period there are two days of greatest relevance, since generally families carry out activities such as the Stations of the Cross and these are: Thursday April 1 and Friday April 2.
Currently, 21 entities have a yellow epidemiological traffic light, eight others in orange, three in green and none in red (maximum contagion alert).
