eavesdropping that compromises the Vidal Ríos brothers

From April 15 of last year, when the telephone of Ricardo José Miguel Vidal Ríos intervened, until the time of the 29 raids, on February 23, the Directorate of Investigation of Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime of Buenos Aires investigated different lines and established how an organization dedicated to the sale of narcotics operated in our city.

This is one of the points that prosecutor Santiago Ulpiano Martínez made when formulating the accusation against 15 detainees, 14 of whom ended up with prosecution and preventive detention dictated by Federal Judge No.1, Walter López Da Silva.

Ricardo and his brother, Adrián Ángel Ariel Vidal Ríos, alleged gang leaders, are still at large.

Those who will remain behind bars are their mother, Gladys Ríos and other relatives and friends, such as Ingrid Vidal Ríos, Brian Moyano, Berenice Moyano, Franco Coria, Maximiliano Toto, Carlos Alvarado Urra, Juan Toledo, Francisco Ferrero, Franco Millar, Susana Chiavetta, Claudio Jofré, Santiago and Agustín Salazar.

Juan Manuel Gil, who for the researchers occupied an important role in the framework, was given the lack of merit.

Prosecutor Martínez argued in his proposal that “the lack of mediation” in possession does not affect the marketing, because “the leaders of the organizations rarely own the drug” but are dedicated to agreeing on the conditions, the quantity, the quality and price in the put options.

The warehouse, a “screen”

Investigators established that the Vidal Ríos brothers, both from backgrounds, had a warehouse in Vieytes 2931, called “El Ricky Papa”, which they used as a “screen”. They had surveillance cameras and personnel, some of “bell” and even “little soldiers” for sale.

Contacts with various neighbors, in turn, the common denominator emerges that “the whole neighborhood knows that it sells drugs”.

This telephone intervention of April 15 of last year made it possible to ratify – still according to the investigators – that the brothers were the leaders, that Toto acted as “right arm”, while Gladys Ríos, the mother, had a role of ‘intermediary and logistics.

Berenice Moyano (sister), Juan “Camacho” Toledo, Brian “El Oso” Moyano, Susana Chiavetta, NN Gregorio, “El Gordo” Franco and a certain “Cachín” were supposed to be the leaders.

Ingrid Vidal (another sister), Moyano herself and her partner Mariano also had side activities and there were retailers, such as Claudio Jofré, Juan Toledo, Franco Millar and the Salazars.

Juan Gil had been designated as the supplier of vehicles and locations to hide the drugs, although justice has not found enough evidence to deal with it, at least for the moment.

The cause arises that Ricardo is the one who bought (cocaine and marijuana) and paid half with his brother, to then distribute to pointers and take different outlets.

The investigation also noted a certain “collusion” of certain police officers. Wiretaps show that “on several occasions” before the raids, they had “alerts” about these procedures.

Due to the criminal economy, they recorded multiple properties, surveillance systems, alarms and cameras at different properties, trips to buy drugs, and constant changes of vehicles, which made monitoring difficult.

“They had an obvious standard of living that is not compatible with a neighborhood store,” they established.

As for the vehicles, they had several such as two Volkswagen Ventos, a BMW X6, an Audi A4, a BMW 33OI, an Audi A5 and a Toyota Etios, among others.

In a call at the end of September, Ricardo also alluded to a debt of “700 lawsuits”, which is inconsistent with his alleged income as a monotax, category F, of $ 1 million. of pesos per year.

Change phone, no chip

The day after the recent raids, “a professional, presumably a lawyer,” as identified in the indictment, contacted Ariel and warned him about the phone changes.

“You saw how many times I told you to change your phone, not just the chip, you understand? Because the phone has an IMEI, if you don’t change your phone, whatever chip you put in it … “

During a conversation between Gladys, the mother, on October 14, with another alleged lawyer who is aware of the organization, they raised a case against Claudio Jofré.

“You have to be careful and be careful”, “there are messages with Richard”, the potential professional warns the woman. According to these messages, according to investigators, it would appear that the drug was kept in cars.

There are also some interesting conversations between Santiago Salazar and Toledo with “Richard”.

“I gave the things to my father, if he didn’t give them to you, the neighbor opposite told me he would see 35 raids. I have everything my father asks of him, and we don’t have the faso here. “ listen. And later one of them said: “You can keep something in your house for today, it’s just mine and Agustín’s.”

Protective mother

From different communications, it seems that Gladys Ríos was almost an intermediary between her children and others and also solved leadership issues.

On October 10, Ariel told her that the night before he had been in an accident due to drunkenness with Juan Gil and also alerted her to a possible break-in. “Well, don’t speak”, the mother would say, to which she replied “Come on, it doesn’t matter, but mine doesn’t, bye” and cut quickly. This situation, for the researchers, marked the “extreme care” they maintained.

Gladys’ duties were also revealed during a conversation with a girl on September 27, when the young woman asked her to intercede with Richard because “Cachín” was struggling in prison.

“In a family, there is no chain of command like this,” the researchers said.

The mother was still on the alert. In October, he communicated with his children: “I think the street chief is there”, “I saw two pass … the DDI up there”. And in January he called a certain “Seba” and after asking about his son, he told him that “They were raiding Tartuferi.”

Gladys also ordered the immediate closure of the business in the event of a police chase.

“Invasion” and dispute

From a WhatsApp capture of the phone of one of the Salazars, a fight breaks out between the mother and the brothers Vidal Ríos, because Ricardo would have suffered an “invasion” of territory by Ariel.

During an interview with his girlfriend, Santiago Salazar hinted that Ariel had broken certain codes and that everything could end in an armed confrontation.

The researchers also determined “underage use”, including for certain issues such as account adjustments.

Mariano, Bérénice’s partner, also clarified the group’s activity during a telephone conversation with Ingrid.

They posted in a purse “40 and a kilos of joint, calm, calm”. “Porro” would clearly refer to marijuana and the 40 could be grams of cocaine or thousands of pesos, according to survey estimates.

“There is no more, eh”, He also said, in an alleged allusion that it was insufficient and that they were processing larger quantities.
