Egypt: a locomotive continued long and caused a tragedy

Egypt At least 25 people were killed and 40 injured in a train accident at Cairo Central Station. The incident occurred when the fuel tank of a locomotive that crashed exploded, which caused a fire inside Ramses station, the main of the Egyptian capital.

According to the Egyptian railway company, the locomotive lost control of the No. 6 platform and struck the concrete roof for reasons that were the subject of an investigation. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbuly went to the indicated location: "Anyone responsible for negligence must react and badume the serious consequences," he said. After the accident, the Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat resigned.

In Egypt, road accidents and railroads are numerous due to anarchic traffic, aging vehicles, lack of maintenance and monitoring of roads.
