El Paso Samoré is closed by an avalanche on the road

The Cardenal Samoré border post remains closed this Thursday as a result of a landslide of mud and trees on Highway 215 on the Chilean side, which has affected traffic in both directions.

The avalanche occurred at kilometer 107 of Highway 215, about 10 kilometers west of the international border.

The National Gendarmerie of El Paso Samoré indicated that the pbad was closed for all types of vehicles due to the obstruction of the route, until the roadway was released. Road teams work instead.

The strong winds and rains hit the mountains of Chile and Argentina, south of the province of Neuquén and west of Rio Negro.
