A 74-year-old man died as a result of a bull that brought him into a traditional festival held every Easter Sunday in Vejer, in southern Spain.

The old man, identified as Juan José Varo, died last Friday after spending several days in intensive care at the Puerto Real hospital, reported dailydecadiz.

The celebration, known as "Toro Embolao de Vejer", consists of releasing two brave bulls into the street on the last day of Holy Week while the crowd runs away.

The bull, called Campanito, weighing 520 kilos, reached the old man, made it fly in the air and made it serious in a lung, as well as fractures to the vertebrae and ribs.
