The Joe Biden wins in Arizona on Donald Trump, confirmed this Friday, gave the reason why Meghan McCain, daughter of the Republican senator and presidential candidate, was missing John mccain, for a Twitter account.

The relationship between Trump and McCain, which he lost to Barack Obama in 2008, it was never good.

McCain enjoyed great popularity in Arizona, due to his long career as a senator spanning more than three decades, but mostly because he was a veteran of the United States Army who was prisoner of war and tortured for five years in Vietnam.

This difficult episode in McCain’s life was precisely mocking object by Trump on several occasions. “He’s not a war hero. I like people who haven’t been caught. (…) I don’t like losers, ”he said during the 2015 electoral campaign which led him to the presidency.

It was now Meghan McCain’s turn. After Biden’s victory by around 10,000 votes, the first from a Democrat in Arizona since Bill Clinton’s victory in 1996, the young woman has shared a photo of her father on Twitter with the text: “I like people who don’t lose in Arizona”.

Meghan McCain added: “Sorry, I had to do this. The meme is so funny“.

The tweet swept away: it topped 55,000 retweets and 385,000 likes.

A week ago, when Joe Biden won the election by reaching the required number of electoral votes, the young woman said she was “relieved” by the victory of the Democrat who was the friend of her father.

Just a very personal note. I am relieved and looking to the future to have a president who respects the prisoners of war (prisoners of war) who have been captured, ”McCain said on his Twitter account.

The widow, Cindy McCain, took the opportunity to call for national unity and called on the American people to work together to make the country better.

“Congratulations to my dear friend and President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris. It’s time to leave politics behind and move on to building a stronger America, ”the woman wrote in a post on her Twitter account, in a tone very similar to that used by Biden in his first statement after. having learned that he would be the next president. .

Cindy, who has been harshly criticized by supporters of the tycoon for breaking through the ranks of the Republican Party and giving Biden their political support in the White House race, said he will “unite the country for a better future.”

Some analysts believe that the political support of the McCain family in Arizona was one of the factors that contributed to Biden’s victory there.

This Friday, Biden was also declared the winner in the state of Georgia, for which he triumphed with a total of 306 electoral votes against Trump’s 232, which is exactly the same amount as the Republican in the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.

However, Donald Trump still does not recognize his defeat, challenged the election results in court and blocked the transition process.
