A recent report by the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade underlines the enormous opportunities that exist in the development of non-renewable energies in different provinces of Argentina. The document published by the official body stresses that Argentina offers investment opportunities of $ 15 billion and that currently, 135 projects are under development, for an amount of $ 7,176 million. . According to the government, of this total, 36 are already present in Buenos Aires: Santa Fe, Chubut, Santa Cruz, Cordoba, La Rioja, Rio Negro, San Juan, San Luis, Misiones and Catamarca.
The official target set in 2017 is that clean energy sources account for at least 20% by 2025. This horizon makes it possible to determine the amount of needed investments and to work together with a group of specialized companies. in the area.
It is in this context that the Ullum I and II solar parks of the province of San Juan, allocated in the first round, representing an investment of $ 32 million each, and the Villalonga I wind farm, are registered. Bahía Blanca, which required an investment of more than 70 million dollars. Of the three, they produce electricity for 127,000 households.
The Pampa II wind farm was inaugurated in March 2019 in Bahía Blanca, with an investment of 70 million US dollars. The project has the first wind turbine manufactured in the country by the Danish company Vestas. In the middle of this year, the commissioning of the solar park of Caucharí is planned in the province of Jujuy, which includes three projects that will add 300 MW to the network.
