Likewise, the exports which increased the most in inter-annual terms were those of Broken rice (+ 2464%), Olives (+ 260%), Powdered albumin (+ 208%), Apple juice (+ 71%) and Sheep (+ 70%). The remarkable performance of Broken Rice is mainly due to demand from Chile and the Netherlands.
At the same time, sales of Durazno, mutton and strawberry registered the highest volume in the last 10 years; those of coriander seeds registered the highest of the last five years and those of flax seeds the highest level of the last three years.
The main destination markets for these products were the United States, Brazil, Spain, China, the Netherlands and Russia, which, together with “Not determined”, accounted for 62.9% of the total value of regional exports.
Considering the total external sales of the food and beverage segment of regional economies, a decrease of 6.3% in value and 10.2% in volume was observed., while the average price increased by 4.4%, due to climatic effects which affected production, mainly in lemons.
Likewise, the cumulative amount was US $ 2,419 million FOB and 1,823,922 tonnes, resulting in an average export price of US $ 1,326 per tonne.
Remember that at the end of June, by decree 410/2021, the Government reduced to zero the export duties for 67 agro-industrial products exported from regional economies.
