The application, already available in Argentina, is called Facebook Dating and is free.

The idea of ​​Mark Zuckerberg's society is that Dating promotes stable relationships, more than informal relationships. Its use is progressive. For now, you need to download the app, which comes with your own email, and the person will add contacts that are not part of the friends list. What happens in Dating will not be reflected in the wall, as well as if someone uses the app, his contacts will not know it. For now, you need to download the app, go to the "More" option in the "Explore" list and look for a heart-shaped symbol, which identifies a meeting.

Facebook decided that the pairings would be decided according to an algorithm. You must first complete a profile based on badual orientation and set the search options, which will not be public. Depending on the profile, Dating will make recommendations to users who are not in contact or blocked. In addition, you can change the privacy to contact people with whom there is no contact in common.

With around 2 billion users, Facebook rivals Tinder, the number one dating system, with a smaller universe, with just under 60 million users. Just when Facebook launched its application, Tinder changed the algorithm. Now users are ranked based on their connection time.

A big difference from Tinder is that Dating will send its users matching suggestions based on network preferences. From there, you can send messages after clicking "Interested". You can upload a maximum of ten photos and you must answer twenty questions to obtain personality information. No photo can be sent and you can only ask one question per message, to avoid harbadment. It is prohibited to minors of 18 years.

The social network initiative comes after the controversy surrounding the use of private data by Cambridge Analytica in 2016. The case had been discovered a year ago and had placed Zuckerberg at the center of the controversy: he had to give explanations to the US Congress and the European Parliament and pledge to improve Facebook's security standards.
