In this sense, Manes badured that "It's an immorality that three million people are hungry", he stressed, this topic is more important than the official advertising and the election campaign.
In this regard, he emphasized that during the campaign for the elections of 2017 the National Electoral Chamber allowed political parties to spend up to $ 710 million, a 75% more than in 2015, during the 30 days of proselytizing.
On the other hand, he stressed that the electoral campaign in Spain to start two weeks before, in Uruguay you can advertise officially twenty days before the electoral act.
In this line, Manes demanded that they be carried out campaigns shorter and austere "in order to promote a switch priorities designed to meet urgent needs, such as malnutrition in children -which can manifest itself in the form of overweight, anemia or anorexia, among other disorders- ".
As a consequence of this reality and the tragedy of poverty, which affects more than half of children in Argentina, the neuroscientist has urged the political clbad "to include the problem of hunger among the 10 points raised in terms of state policy, considering it as the most necessary and the most impossible to regulate"
The manes he did it via the Change.org platform and called on citizens to get involved in the fight against hunger. "In a country where the population equivalent to that of the entire city of Buenos Aires is hungry, nothing should be more urgent than ensuring the supply of food," said Manes.
