The Lavagnist coalition of the Federal Consensus on Monday urged the government to withdraw from the election campaign the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union, because, he said, "nothing promising can guarantee it ".

The complaint came from the pre-candidate of the national deputy Alejandro "Topo" Rodríguez, one of the main political actors of the presidential candidate, Roberto Lavagna, during a tour of the party Chascomús in Buenos Aires.

"The government should withdraw from the election campaign the question of the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union, because nothing that is promising can guarantee it," said Rodriguez, according to a statement from the party .

"You can not take lightly a free trade agreement between two regional conglomerates, but the Macri government, in its electoral incitement, is already promising benefits that no one is willing to give easily," Rodriguez added. in front of a group of agricultural producers with whom met in the rural society of this district.

In this context, the candidate for the deputies emphasized the position of European countries which have distanced themselves from this agreement.

The candidate also attended the candidacy of Mr. Chascomús, presidential candidate of the Federal Consensus, Ignacio Gorriz, who presented a project for the improvement and permanent maintenance of the rural roads of the municipality.
