The Mauricio Macri government has developed a great capacity to tell fictions: the facts are what they decide. According to the latest official text, the new Minister of Finance expresses a project different from that implemented by the government until the recent STEP; Nicolás Dujovne, the outgoing minister, is solely responsible for the economic policies implemented by the ruling party. and the delay in intervention on the dollar, the Monday that followed the government's electoral defeat – which allowed the value of this currency to overtake one of the bands – is a violation of agreements with the IMF. These are fictions: in them the words are little or nothing related to the facts that they tell.

Of course, to claim that Hernán Lacunza represents a change of policy is a clear example of this inclination of officialism for fiction. As Minister of the Economy, nothing that he has done in the province of Buenos Aires makes it possible to presume that he has a different project from that implemented up to the end of his life. present. On the other hand, the policies that Dujovne has implemented are those that Macri has asked him to develop as part of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund. The former minister does not take all the blame on him: he shares it with the president and his entire team. Regarding the deferred intervention on the dollar on Monday 12, it was not a violation of agreements with the Fund. Rather the opposite: he expressed alignment with the agency's initial idea that the dollar should go where the "markets" engine wins. The fact that the Fund accepted the famous bands was "a success" of Cambiemos management.

But fiction production is not a recent practice: it has accompanied the government since its inception. As a result, the results of the last election were a limit to the growing distance between his words and the facts. We have been saying this for a while.
