Cortiñas participated in the Forum for the Defense of Life and Support to Leyla, organized in the city of Amed and organized by the Women's Freedom Movement (TJA), an area of ​​international importance for the defense of human rights. of the man. There, the Argentine reference emphasized "the belief that with women's struggle and leadership, we will win". "Until victory always!" Was his salvation.

With her protest, Leyla calls on the Turkish government to put an end to the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, arrested since 1999 and sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorism and separatism.
