At least five soldiers were killed in an operation to detain members of a cell of the terrorist group Daesh (self-proclaimed Islamic State, banned in Russia) in Sudan, Sudanese intelligence reported on Tuesday.

“The intelligence service lost five people, including two officers and three non-commissioned officers, one officer was injured,” the statement said.

The note says Sudanese uniforms detained 11 terrorists of different nationalities during the operation.

The search is being carried out for four other terrorists who managed to escape.
