Two months ago, the dismembered body of a former leader of Zetas Cartel's "Old School" appeared. The head, torso and extremities were placed in three cold rooms abandoned in front of three prisons in the state of Nuevo Leon.

Over time, it was known that these remains belonged to one person.
That was the corpse of Luis Reyes Enriquez, better known as "The Rex", former leader of the Zetas cartel "Old School".

It has been reported that his body was stolen from a funeral home on the night of 27 September. A few hours later, the corpse appeared dismembered and beheaded in front of the prisons of Topo Chico, Apodaca and Cadereyta.

The findings were also attributed to the Northeast Cartel, a fragment of the extinct cartel of "Los Zetas" which, in addition to drug trafficking, is also involved in other crimes such as trafficking in human beings, fuel theft, kidnapping and extortion.
