Malikah Bennett, his mother, had inflicted terrible punishment on his daughter, forcing her to stand for three consecutive days; eventually, the youngest collapsed and died, and her own mother buried her.

It was the victim’s 13-year-old sister who recounted what happened: she had forced Majelic to stand in the sink for three days, in August 2020, as a penance for getting his pants dirty, causing him to weaken, fall and bang his head on the floor.

The impact was severe, and although Bennett tried CPR, the baby died. Then put the body in plastic bags and put it in the trunk of his car, where it remained for about five days. Eventually, the woman dug a well in the backyard of her house and buried it.

The woman was arrested by the authorities and the girl’s grandmother, Tammy Taylor Moffett, was also indicted for apparent complicity and for having “hidden” the crimeCharlotte police sources have reported.
