By June 15, “it is very likely that we will have exceeded” the government’s target of 30 million vaccinated with at least the first dose, noted Alain Fischer.

France is one of the European countries hardest hit by the pandemic. To date, 109,000 deaths have been recorded. But new cases, deaths and hospitalizations have declined in recent weeks.

After more than six months of tough measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country, the French regained some of their freedom on May 19, with the reopening of the terraces of cafes and restaurants, cinemas and museums.

They will have to wait until June 9 to be able to eat or have a coffee in a restaurant or bar.

From June 30, events with more than 1000 people can be organized, but to access it, a negative test or certificate of immunity must be presented.
