France relaxed certain conditions on its health passport after four weeks of protests

The French government confirmed on Sunday that it would relax certain conditions of the health passport which certifies, in the form of a computerized QR code, the complete vaccination schedule, negative coronavirus tests for the unvaccinated, or confirmation that the person has recovered from the disease.

This passport, already compulsory since June in certain events, It will be necessary from this Monday to go to restaurants, bars or cafes -even the terraces- and travel on long-haul trains, buses and planes.

Among the relaxations announced by the French Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, in a newspaper interview The ParisianAl, the validity of negative tests for the unvaccinated will be 72 hours and not 48, and it will be possible to perform “Self-tests supervised by a health professional”

The minister made these changes public a day later 237,000 people will demonstrate throughout France against the requirement of this certificate and against the obligation for health personnel to be vaccinated by October 15 at the latest.

“Whatever the number of protesters opposed to the vaccine, it will always be lower than the number of French people vaccinated at the same time”, he said.
