Tuesday’s meeting followed one held yesterday by Macron and Al Sisi, in which the French sovereign supported Egyptian mediation and he argued that they would continue their discussion with the Jordanian monarch.

In Cairo, Egyptian presidency spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement that Al Sisi had affirmed the importance of the meeting, which “seeks to crystallize the joint actions of the three countries to stop the violence and contain dangerous escalation “.

Likewise, the Egyptian president declared that his country “will continue to do everything possible to stop the current mutual escalation, intensifying contacts with all interested international actors and with the Palestinian and Israeli sides”.

Al Sisi also called on the international community to intensify its contacts to urge Israel to stop the escalation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and in this way “Allow calm to return and international efforts to begin supporting and assisting the Palestinians.”

At the same time, King Abdullah II affirmed that his country “will continue its efforts in coordination with Egypt, France and its friends and brothers, to end the Israeli attacks, restore calm in the Palestinian territories and promote the peace process. “.
